WHAT ARE YOU KNOWN FOR?

A man must be known for something, even so a woman; either very beautiful or very kind or resort to be very witty or very stupid, but something. I agree no less with the words of Martin Luther King Jnr., “Not everyone can be famous, but everyone can be great because greatness is determined by service.”

History is replete with notorious groups/names whose aim(s) is to inflict heavy casualties on the world with aggravated terror, in order to achieve an underlying motive.  Osama Bin Laden of Al qaeda, Abubakar Shekau of Boko Haram etc, are synonymous with terror, but the former is no more and the latter, is at the peak of his game. So I ask you, Where will you be 10 years from now? What would become your lifestyle? What kind of future would you bequeath your children? Will you be known for good or for evil? I tell you the truth, until a man decides to make a difference, he cannot be different.

Aliko Dangote dares conventions and decided to make a difference in the world of business and touch lives from its proceeds. Today, he is a renowned industrialist, philanthropist, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Group of Companies and currently, the richest man in Africa.

Helen Keller was born blind, yet with a vision that supersedes many sighted-people; so you invariably are blessed with a sight that is distinctively yours and a vision copyrighted only to you. So no matter what has happened to you in the past, no matter what state you are in at any given moment, you have the power to turn your life around and pursue your goals and dreams by adopting an empowering attitude and taking the actions necessary to move forward.

So if you believe your personal fulfillment, success and happiness are determined by your achieving the standard of success and status as established by conventions or status quo and negate your personal sense of purpose and significance, you are a tragedy – not just to yourself, but to your generation. By subjugating yourself to the world's standard of measuring success or great achievement, which is warped, you have inadvertently subscribed to frustration.

This treatise would not be able to contain notable accomplishments of great men and women, legends, martyrs, who defied limitations, hindrances, barriers and record tremendous achievements. Some went through devastating tragedies and with a positive mindset or attitude; they become miracles along the way for others. Some through their achievements have succeeded in leaving lasting legacies that inspire others to leave legacies of their own. Again, is it too late to be distinguished? CULLED FROM THE BOOK:  ACHIEVE AT YOUR LEVEL.
