It was E. L. Simpson who said,
“Getting an idea should be like sitting down on a pin. It should make you jump
up and do something.” Any idea that does not propel an action is a mere
fantasy. You cannot sell a single idea nor make anything to happen, if you
don't take tangible action. Is
it possible for a sitting man to be noticed in a crowd? Of course, not. Until you stand up, you cannot be
noticed.
If all you must do to achieve your vision is to stand up; please by all means ‘do not hesitate’. Stand and keep standing until you are noticed. It is only weaklings that loves sitting, but it takes a man of passion to stand up for what he believes.
By standing up for social justice, equality or against any societal ills that is obnoxious to human dignity, you will sure become a relief to the oppressed of the land and makes them feel more alive. In doing so, you must first of all, stand out as a living example of personal redemption before you stand up as an emancipator. Again by standing up, you are simply expressing what others are afraid to express and doing what others are timidified to do. Do not bother being alone and helpless from the beginning, just be resolute and you’ll sure recruit a silent army of believers by standing up as a liberator. Keep expressing genuine outrage and demonstrate communicable charisma in your pursuits. CULLED FROM THE BOOK: ACHIEVE AT YOUR LEVEL.
